Caterpillar To Raise Japanese Stakes 07/03/2008
It has been reported that leading manufacturer of Caterpillar Excavators and other construction machinery, Caterpillar are looking to spend around $580 million to obtain a majority stake in Japan.

Caterpillar excavators are produced by Caterpillar Inc, and the company looks set to take majority control of its stake in its Japanese joint venture, namely referred to as Shin Caterpillar Mitsubishi. The payment to the company will ensure that the manufacturer of Caterpillar excavators will obtain a share in the company of around two-thirds, a lift from its previous 50 percent.

Case New Holland To Supply U.s. Army With Backhoe Loaders 01/03/2008
After visiting the Case New Holland manufacturing plant in Burlington in the USA, the US Senator, Chuck Grassley bore witness to the five year contract of Case Construction equipment to provide the US army with over 500 backhoe loaders. He also reportedly completed a plant tour of the factory which constructs backhoe loaders.

The Case New Holland construction plant in Burlington, USA has recently been accredited with completing an insourcing of Case New Holland products and services.
